Special skills

We’re in need of immediate help with:

  • Cat grooming (brushing & nail trimming) with uncooperative cats
  • Ad writing
  • A veterinarian willing to donate their time & expertise once a month to advise us on minor health issues & improving our cat care procedures, in exchange for referrals

If you have skills in any of these areas and would like to help, please email us with your name & a brief description of your prior experience or stop in any day between 10 am & 6 pm.

Drop-In Volunteering

Sometimes, the best gift you can give to animals in need is your time. We rely on volunteers to help us with socializing the cats, cleaning, and assisting guests. Sign up for and attend a half-hour orientation session and then come in whenever you like. Ages 16 and up, or 10 and up if volunteering with a parent. This is a great way for high schoolers and scouts to earn community service hours! (If non-profit is a requirement, all of our rescue partners are 501(c)3 non-profit organizations, and by helping us care for their cats, you are volunteering for them at our location.)
Note: Because we’ve had problems in the past with people offering to volunteer as a way to play with the cats without paying admission, instead of a desire to help us care for the cats, we require everyone to attend an orientation session and bring a small one-time donation for the cats. Gently used cat toys or anything on our donation page are what we need most. Thank you!

Sign up for an orientation session below. You will receive a confirmation email and a reminder email 2 days before your orientation session.
