What is meditation and why is it so important?
In the silence of meditation, in doing ‘nothing’ you develop the blissful state of separation from the body gaining an awareness where the spiritual you exists, the very essence of your being. Meditation is a vital part of your sacred journey from ego to spirit which is the journey of transcendence.
Meditating from time to time is relaxing and beneficial, but doing it on a daily basis is even better. Like a muscle that becomes stronger with use, daily meditation builds energy and more power flows into your life. You have to want to meditate. When you do so you will disempower the ego and your reality will change for the better. When you open yourself to a new awareness, by journeying within, you come to understand who you are and what your purpose is in this life. Once you begin to know yourself, you consolidate your power and become more settled. You can stand confident in your own power and let go of the need to impress people or act to win their approval. You will discover the satisfaction of being the person you are rather than the person you think others want you to be.
The ego’s world is one of noise and seeking gratification, it doesn’t like the silence which it often finds boring and unnerving. You need to persevere with regular practice in order to win the battle against the ego. Victory will move you from anguish to serenity and with that, many rewards result. Spiritual, emotional, physical and psychological. The external world, which you experience as daily life, mirrors your innermost feelings and impulses. In turn, those subconscious feelings project outwards from you into the external world, creating opportunities and synchronicities.
Deep within you is the real you. This spiritual, eternal self has been waiting in the wings for you to recognize its power and authenticity. When you move within, you begin to remember a great part of yourself that has long been forgotten and you will find the strength and courage to step into new worlds and new realities.
